Last Days Love pt2

What does it mean to keep the main thing the main thing in the last days? At the heart of this message is a sobering warning drawn from Matthew 24, where Jesus connects the rise of deception, false prophets, and lawlessness to one surprising root cause: love growing cold. We tend to think of deception as something dramatic and obvious, but this message challenges us to consider that the greatest deception we face may be far more subtle. It is the slow, quiet drift away from love. Offense left unaddressed becomes betrayal. Betrayal left unaddressed becomes hatred. And hatred, as Jesus himself declared in Matthew 5, is murder in the heart. We all have trails of relationships behind us where this pattern has played out, and the church as a whole bears the marks of it. But the good news woven through this message is that we were born of love when we said yes to Jesus, and love is not just something God has. It is who God is. That means love is not foreign to our nature as his children. It is our original design. This overview invites us to honestly examine where our love has grown cold, where we have pulled back, and where we have allowed the embers to dim, so that we can open ourselves to the Holy Spirit breathing fresh fire into our hearts once again.
