Courageous Love

What if the greatest threat to our faith in the last days is not the rise of the Antichrist or catastrophic world events, but something far more subtle — the slow cooling of our love for one another? Drawing from Matthew 24 and the letters of 1 John, we explore how Jesus himself identified lovelessness as the defining danger of the end times. Lawlessness, as it turns out, is not simply the breaking of rules — it is the breaking of love. When we pull back our affection, withhold forgiveness, or avoid hard conversations, we are not just failing each other; we are fighting against our own God-given nature. We were born of love, created to expand in it, and when we resist that calling, darkness finds its way in. The message is urgent and deeply personal: the false voices of our age will always offer us a comfortable excuse to break connection, to justify distance, to call our fear wisdom. But perfect love casts out fear and gives us boldness even in the hardest moments.
